THE EXPANDED SYNTHESIS OF IDEAS AND FORMS IN THE TRANSCENDENCE WORKS OF IVEN ORX & AARON VINN

The artists Iven Orx and Aaron Vinn have dedicated themselves to exploring the possibilities of art for many years. In addition to their established work groups, they have recently been intensely focused on a new series of artworks they call TRANSCENDENCE. These display a transformed visual world of the present; incorporating remnants of abstract, gestural painting translated into other materials; surreal to absurd beings and distorted perspectives.

With these works, Orx and Vinn aim to enable transformative experiences. In their work, they grapple with overcoming dualistic logic and refer to the idea that art operates beyond the traditional binary logic of right/wrong or true/false. They emphasize the possibility of integrating contradictory or paradoxical elements into their artworks.

The works consist of a combination of paintings and soft sculptures. The artists aim for an expanded synthesis of ideas and forms in their work. They experiment with various artistic concepts and modes of expression to find new ways of synthesis. They use materials such as fabric, foam, plastic film or rubber to create flexible forms. By combining different styles, techniques, and materials, they achieve a synthesis that transcends conventional artistic paradigms. These works open up a new dimension of shaping for viewers, inviting interaction and facilitating immersion in a mental state beyond the familiar.

The first exhibition of the TRANSCENDENCE series is scheduled for autumn 2024. It promises to be a captivating and transformative art exhibition where visitors are invited to transcend the boundaries of the familiar and discover new perspectives on art.
