“I saw: A gale came from the north, a great cloud with flickering fire surrounded by a bright glow. From the fire it shone like gleaming gold. In the midst of it appeared what appeared to be four living beings. …. I saw a wheel on the ground next to each of the four. The wheels looked like they were made of chrysolite. All four wheels had the same shape. They were made to appear as if one wheel was running within the other. They could run in all four directions and did not change direction while running. Their rims were so high that I was startled; they were full of eyes all around on all four wheels. . . . Something like glowing coals could be seen between the living beings, something like torches darting back and forth between the living beings. The fire shone brightly, and lightning flashed out of the fire.” Ezekiel 1.4
