FLUID WORLDS AND TRANSCENDENTAL SPHERES

LIMEN (2010–2025, pigment and glaze works on canvas) opens fluid spaces between perception and imagination. The works condense light, color, and transparency into a continuous movement in which the visible shifts between permanence and transience.

„In LIMEN, we explore the threshold as a space that is located neither here nor there. For us, these transitions create fields where opposites meet without dissolving. The works capture the moment of in-between – a space of openness that resists any definitive categorization.“

It is not a place, but a vibration – a state of mind, a suspension between the aggregates of the real and the fleeting reflections of the possible. *Limen* unfolds in fluid transparency, a space permeated by light, where colors do not adhere but vibrate, ignite one another, fade, and awaken anew. A faint flicker – islands of sun, phosphorescent fragments, ephemeral constellations within the open fabric of time.

„We understand LIMEN as the place of wavering, where the familiar turns into the unknown. The works unfold as threshold spaces that offer both entry and resistance. For us, they reveal that every act of perception always remains in transition.“

The works are not representations – they are movements, currents, breathing surfaces. Pigments condense into luminous nodes, then dissolve again, a constant transition that knows no stillness. Within their lightness resides an elusive depth; within their radiance, a sense of a greater order – a cosmos that does not define itself, but continually unfolds.

With every glance, the space expands, connections grow, and perception transforms. Light emerges and fades, a play of proximity and distance, presence and dissolution. To engage with it means to lose orientation at familiar boundaries and enter a field of pure possibility – a utopian landscape that cannot be fixed, because it is renewed with every breath.

„In LIMEN, we explore the paradox of the threshold: it separates and connects simultaneously. We work with layers and transitions that slow perception and guide the gaze into openness. In this way, a space emerges where boundary and possibility are inseparably intertwined.“

„Each work from LIMEN appears to us like a gate that cannot be fully crossed. The viewer lingers in a state of anticipation, where the indeterminate condenses. For us, this is where the true power of this in-between space lies – a place where the future begins to emerge.“

For Limen is not a promise of a distant world. It is an inner illumination, a reminder of what rests within us: the state beyond limitation, an open becoming, a breath of transcendence.
